Looking back, it's amazing the effects I've created when donning the days garb, no matter what the occasion. Here's a few of my favorites.
A big thanks to mum, by the way, for keeping such a wonderful archive of photos and dad for being the eager photographer!
The Perfect Match - Roller Skates with Gumboots!
Believe it! Yes, Gumboots were a 'must have' with roller skates in 1969 Melbourne. At least in my mind and street. These roller skates rattled the bones as much as a 'Widow-Maker' jackhammer!
Check out mum's trendy outfit!.. Seems she was trying to outdo my fashion prowess! Not a hope in hell!
The Tahitian Nappy - Just Gorgeous!
In 1965 The "Tahitian Nappy Look" was the way to go.
Our stop over in Tahiti enroute to Melbourne Australia. Onlookers were in awe at my and my brothers bulbous nappy bums. Paparazzi Nikons clicked furiously! Cloth nappy sales skyrocketed globally once the word got out!
The Perfect Hair Day!
1980, Dashingly handsome and dressed to kill!
The highlight? Hair! Check out the hair! Dad gets the credit here with the "Back patio bowl cut". Lovely!.. Mum's, all natural fluff ball, completes the effect of this amazing fashion shot.
Outdoor Ruggedness, For a Lot Less Money Than You Think!
Linda loves my guns. I had to find an easier way to show them that didn't involve laboriously removing my shirt or rolling my sleeves up only to have them un-roll repeatedly, so annoying. Solution?..
Rip the bloody arms off! It's truly the best, low budget solution, to a serious problem. Feel free to try it.
Hope you enjoyed my trip down fashion memory lane.
I bet you have a few favorites of your own.
